Chocolate spiral cookies







These are perfect butter cookies with a lovely cocoa and vanilla flavor.

Ingredients

250g flour

80g sugar

1 tbsp vanilla sugar

100g butter

1 egg

2 tbsp cocoa powder

1 tbsp baking powder

Preparation

Mix the dry ingredients, except the cocoa powder.

Add in the softened butter and the egg. Work until homogeneous.

Separate into two halves. Work the cocoa powder into one half. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Roll them out into skinny layers and place one on top of the other. Press together with rolling pin to remove any air bubbles. Roll up into a log and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Cut into slices and bake cookies in a 350F oven for about 10-12 minutes, until edges are just set. Cool on cookie racks.
