Strawberry brioche

This is a no-knead, easy, and delicious bread. The jam inside is perfect to give a subtle strawberry flavor and make the bread so moist. Everyone was deligted to try this brioche, the only brioche I personally have really enjoyed.

Ingredients

390g all purpose flour

1 tsp salt

35g sugar

2 tsp yeast

3 tbsp butter

200g warm water (not hot!)

0.25 cup whole milk

1 egg

250g strawberry jam

egg wash

Preparation

Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.

Melt butter and add the other wet ingredients, whisk the egg.

Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Cover and allow to rise for about 90 minutes in a warm place.

Oil a counter area and remove the dough onto it. Cut into half. Form into balls and allow to rest for 20 minutes.

Microwave the jam until softer. Line a 9 by 5 inch breadpan with nonstick paper. Oil lightly.

Spread out each dough ball into an 8 by 11 inch rectangle or oval. Spread half the jam on each and roll up from the short edge. Twist the tubes around each other and place into bread pan. Allow to rise for about 20-30 minutes, until dough is cresting the edge.

Brush top with egg wash. Bake at 375F for about 45 minutes. Cool for half an hour before cutting.
