A wonderful Hungarian cookie, the way I like it! Using a good quality jam and nice dark chocolate is crucial here.

Ingredients

300g flour

1 tsp baking powder

0.25 tsp salt

80g icing sugar

0.25 tsp cinnamon

120g melted butter

milk to bring it together

jam to fill

chocolate and heavy cream for coating

Preparation

Mix the dry ingredients. Add the melted butter and work into a dough. Wrap and refrigerate or an hour

roll out to 3mm-thick, and cut with a 2-inch cookie cutter.

Bake in a 375F preheated oven until very light golden. Cool on a cookie rack.

Stick halves together with a good jam and drizzle top with melted chocolate or chocolate ganache.

Refrigerate overnight before eating.
