This recipe is perfect for busy nights on weekdays. The bread is done extremely fast, and it is nearly as good as its yeasted fellows. Highly recommended!
Ingredients
3 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1.5 tsp salt
3 tbsp vegetable oil
1 cup water
Preparation
Mix the dry ingredients well. Add the liquids and mix, then knead, to form a soft, but not very sticky dough. Allow to rest at room temperature for 10-20 minutes.
Preheat a skillet on medium-high. Spray with oil when hot.
While the skillet is preheating, cut the dough into 6-8 pieces, and roll each piece into a thin (1/8-inch-thick) disc. Add one to the hot pan. After a few minutes of cooking one side, flip and cook the other side as well. The dough will form little bubbles.
Remove onto a cookie rack and cover with a clean kitchen towel. Serve warm!
