Bananas and salted caramel make a happy duo! Until they are eaten that is. This little cake can't persist long in the kitchen, due to its irresistible, moist texture and wonderful flavor combo.
Ingredients
115g butter
190g flour
40g sugar
0.75tsp baking soda
0.25 tsp salt
250g mashed bananas
0.25 cup sour cream
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
glaze:
40g butter
45g brown sugar
40mL heavy cream
20g icing sugar
large pinch of salt
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 9-inch pan and line with parchment paper.
Whisk flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Mix in mashed bananas, melted butter, vanilla, eggs, and sour cream. Bake until center is set, about 20-30 minutes.
Boil the glaze ingredients for a minute, then stir for 5 minutes and add in the icing sugar. Spread onto cake and allow to set.
