Cabbage salad with curry


An incredibly delicious, sweet-and-savory combo, with a hint of spice from the curry powder. I got this curry powder from the UK, and the best ones I've ever encountered in the US do not come close in quality to the simple store-brand one from Birmingham.

Ingredients
1 head of fresh cabbage
0.5 cup sunflower seeds
0.5 cup craisins
0.5 cup yogurt
2 tbsp minced red onion
1-2 tsp hot curry powder
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
salt to season (start with 2 tsp)

Preparation
Shred the cabbage.

Mix the yogurt with the minced red onion, curry powder, sugar, lemon juice and some salt. 


In a large bowl with the cabbage with the dressing and the craisins and sunflower seeds. Toss well and allow to sit in the fridge for a few hours before serving. Simply delicious!
