Sugar on snow

A delicious Vermont dessert that makes you appreciate snow. Even if it's April, and you are really, really done with this winter that no longer serves to decimate the tick population.

Ingredients
0.25 cup maple syrup
fresh snow

Preparation
Heat maple syrup in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly with a candy thermometer.

Collect snow in a large bowl. Once the temperature of the maple syrup comes to 230-240F, drizzle into the snow.

Do a test run first with a drop, the syrup should solidify on top of the snow, turning into maple candy.

Pull out the threads and eat with the snow on them! Repeat as necessary.
