Apple cinnamon rolls


A quick dessert from packaged cinnamon rolls. The apples cut the sweetness, and the dessert is moist and delicious.

Ingredients
1 package refrigerated cinnamon rolls
1 apple
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp sugar
0.25 tsp cinnamon

Preparation
Open the can of cinnamon rolls and place each roll into a muffin shape, forming a dimple in the middle.

Preheat oven to 350F.

Peel the apple, cut into quarters and slice each quarter into thin slices. Add the slices to a small teflon pan, toss with lemon juice and sugar. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Heat on medium-high, stirring, until apples are softened.

Distribute apple filling into cinnamon roll dimples. Bake until edges are light brown and dough is puffed up (about 15 minutes).

Remove from oven and remove pastries from muffin shapes onto a cookie rack. Drizzle with the icing package included. Serve warm.
