Perfect dinner rolls


So simple and delicious. Served this with honey butter, and everyone was all over it. I think we might have eaten an entire tub of butter.

Ingredients
2.5 cups flour
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp dried yeast
0.75 tsp salt
0.75 cup sour cream
0.25 cup water
2 tbsp oil
1 egg

Preparation
Heat the sugar, sour cream, water and oil until warm, but not hot.

Whisk together the flour, salt, and yeast. Pour in the sour cream mixture and mix until it comes together. Knead in a kitchenaid mixer until smooth and elastic, for 10-15 minutes.


Oil a bowl lightly, coat the dough with oil and cover it in the bowl. Allow to double in size.


Cut into 12 pieces and shape into circular buns. Line a 9-inch cakepan with parchment paper. Spray with oil and arrange the balls of dough in it. Allow to rise in a warm spot for 45 minutes (I use a slightly preheated oven).


Preheat oven to 350F, brush buns with egg wash. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.


Cool on a wire rack, serve warm with honey butter!
