A real strawberry topping for ice cream or cheese cake...or just to scoop into your mouth with a spoon!
Ingredients
1 pint fresh, ripe strawberries
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Preparation
Clean and chop the strawberries.
Set aside a third, and to the other two thirds add the sugar and vanilla in a pan. Cook on medium heat until bubbly and saucy, stirring occasionally.
Cool and add to a blender. Process until smooth.
Pour it onto the chopped strawberries you set aside at the beginning. Serve!
If you want to use the sauce to top a cheesecake, dissolve a packet of gelatin in in some of the sauce, while it's still warm. Stir into the rest of the sauce and pour onto the cake.
Place the cake in your fridge for 1-2 hours, until it sets.

This and the blueberry sauce rank highest on my fruit sauce list.
