Vanilla sauce

A tasty vanilla sauce for golden dumplings and anything else you might want to pour it on.

Ingredients
750 mL milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
4 egg yolks
50 g sugar
40 g flour
0.25 tsp rum extract

Preparation
Mix the sugar with the flour. Add the egg yolks and mix until smooth, adding a tiny little bit of milk as necessary. When smooth, slowly expand with another 100 mL of milk.

Bring the rest of the milk to a boil and slowly pour it into the egg mixture, stirring constantly.

Place back onto the stove and bring to a boil again with the vanilla and rum. Allow to cool with a plastic wrap pressed to the top surface, to avoid clumps.
