Tomato-free pasta sauce

I had some extra cream, and I didn't want it to go to waste. So I looked around in my fridge, and the following recipe came forth. It's much better than I had expected...

Ingredients
0.5 pound ground beef
4 slices of bacon
1 small onion
1 clove of garlic
1 cup cream
0.5 cup beef broth
0.5 tbsp corn starch
0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
black pepper, salt, paprika to taste

Preparation
Chop the onion, mince the garlic and chop the parsley. Prep you other ingredients on the counter.

Cook the bacon until crispy, remove from pan, set aside. Drain the fat and use the same pan to saute the chopped onion.

When the onion is ready, add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

Add the ground beef and spices. Cook until beef is browned, then pour in the broth and simmer for 3 minutes.

Mix in the cream, saving 2 tbsp to mix with the corn starch. Then pour that in as well. Add back the bacon, chopped into small pieces. Add the fresh parsley and the Parmesan.

Bring to a boil and simmer for 2 minutes.

Serve with pasta and a side salad.

  1. Eugene just said the opposite, he found the tomato-less pasta things unappetizing :-) Well, there's more for us...
